Steps to Find a Space in a Home Childcare Service
The Childcare Services Registration Portal (formerly La Place 0-5) is the official government platform for searching for educational childcare services.
To access the Childcare Services Registration Portal, you must have an account with the Government Authentication Service.
The registration portal allows you to:
- create your family profile and enter your specific childcare needs;
- search for recognized childcare services in Québec;
- add your child to the waiting lists of childcare services that interest you;
- update your information and preferences;
- receive notifications when your child is recommended for an available space or when action is required on your part.
You will need the following information and documents to prove your identity:
- your health insurance number;
- your Social Insurance Number (SIN);
- your notice of assessment number (you can obtain an electronic copy of your notice by accessing My Account with Revenu Québec);
- the reference number of your valid driver’s licence or the reference number of your valid health insurance card.
Complaint Handling Policy
Your satisfaction is important to us. Here is how to file a complaint.
The policy for handling complaints regarding home childcare services establishes the foundations and guiding principles that must govern the handling of complaints related to home childcare services.
We believe that a complaint is an opportunity to improve the quality of home childcare services.
Every member of the Coordinating Office (CO) staff is required to assist anyone wishing to file a complaint or report an incident.
Our policy is based on guiding principles stating that every complaint must be handled in accordance with the corporation’s values, as well as the rights of the complainant and those of the CO staff member or home childcare provider concerned. When members of management are the subject of a complaint, it may be handled by the Board of Directors or by an independent investigator appointed for this purpose.
