Closure of La Place 0-5 ans

As of October 16, 2025, La Place 0-5 ans has been replaced by the Childcare Services Registration Portal. You must register through the Portal to secure a spot in child care.

This portal allows you to create a family profile, search for child care services that meet your needs and those of your child, submit and track admission applications, and update your contact information.

Public holidays

The CPE is open fifty-two (52) weeks a year, except on the public holidays listed below, which are specified in the Subsidized Educational Childcare Agreement.

The CPE’s thirteen public holidays are as follows:

  • The first Monday of September (Labour Day);
  • The second Monday of October (Thanksgiving);
  • December 25 (Christmas);
  • January 1 (New Year’s Day);
  • Good Friday or Easter Monday;
  • The Monday preceding May 25 (National Patriots’ Day);
  • June 24 (Quebec National Holiday);
  • July 1 (Canada Day);
  • Four (4) additional holidays between December 22 and January 4 are determined each year;
  • One (1) other holiday determined each year.

These days are paid as regular childcare days if they fall on days when the child normally attends.
