On December 18, 1979, Kal\u00e9idoscope Daycare was registered with the Minist\u00e8re des Consommateurs, Coop\u00e9ratives et Institutions financi\u00e8res. At the time, the daycare, located at 16 King Street in Huntingdon, welcomed thirty-six (36) children, primarily from families living in Huntingdon.  <\/p><p>Over the years, the corporation was required to change its name. As of June 1, 2006, the number of spaces available through home childcare services was set at three hundred and twenty-five (325). <\/p><p>In 2009, following changes, the facility reduced its licensed capacity to 77 spaces. It is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of nine (9) directors elected at the Annual General Meeting. <\/p><p>The Board of Directors is responsible for the corporation\u2019s mission, strategic directions, and legal and regulatory obligations.<\/p><p>Supported by a diverse range of professional resources, the directors establish the organization\u2019s operating and governance framework through the approval of contracts, policies and processes aimed at ensuring sound management across all areas of the organization.<\/p><p>Parents play an important role on the Board of
